PHOENIX - Labor Day weekend will be a busy weekend for traveling.

Triple A estimates that more than 34 million Americans will be traveling over the next couple of days -- that's a 10 percent increase over last year.

If you're leaving your car at the airport, click here for a Sky Harbor parking coupon.

The airport also has some tips for travelers. They recommend taking the light rail to avoid traffic, checking flight status before leaving for the airport and arriving two hours before your flight departs.

Traveling by car? Don't drink and drive. Officers will be cracking down on impaired drivers and people who aren't buckled up. Seven people were killed in fatal crashes on Arizona highways over last year's Labor Day weekend.

ADOT is not closing or restricting any freeways over the holiday weekend.

Low gas prices is some good news for motorists. Gas prices are down 3 cents from last week. According to Triple A, the average cost of a gallon of gas is $2.70 in Arizona.

The average price is $2.67 in Phoenix, $2.95 in Flagstaff, and $2.50 in Tucson.

Staying in town? Lots of hotels and resorts are offering staycation deals for Arizona residents.
