Construction Near Hoover Dam Halted Over July 4

The Arizona Department of Transportation says road construction around Hoover Dam will be halted over the July 4 holiday weekend along U.S. 93.

ADOT says that due to an increase in holiday traffic, motorists should be ready for lengthy delays while trying to cross Hoover Dam into Nevada.

When completed, U.S. 93 will be a four-lane divided highway, which will connect to the Arizona approach of the Hoover Dam Bypass.

The project is anticipated to be complete in December 2010.
