High-Speed Vegas-Phoenix Train Under Discussion

PHOENIX - A company hoping to build a high-speed train between Los Angeles and Las Vegas has added plans for a connecting line to Phoenix.

It would get passengers to the Las Vegas Strip in far less time than it takes to drive. It would be called "Desert Lightning."

The company is still seeking private and government funds to conduct a study on the idea, so nothing is official.
