FOUNTAIN HILLS - The wife of Arizona Diamondbacks relief pitcher Scott Schoeneweis, Gabrielle Dawn, was found dead Wednesday in their Fountain Hills Home.
According to the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office, 39-year-old Gabrielle Dawn Schoeneweis was unresponsive when deputies arrived at 12:11 p.m. Wednesday.
Her body was found by one of the couple's four children, a 14-year-old girl. She told police she found her mother on the floor of the master bedroom.
Cause and manner of death are undetermined, but investigators say that so far, there are no signs of foul play.
Scott Schoeneweis is on his way back from Florida to be with his family -- he was due to play the Marlins Wednesday night.
