Arizona Senators John Kyl and John McCain are among those voting against moving forward with the healthcare reform bill.
Shortly after the vote Saturday night, Sen. McCain told FOX 10 by phone that the bill would have a negative effect on some Arizonans.
"One of the aspects of it that hurt Arizona very much is that there are 330,000 citizens of Arizona that are on the Medicare advantage plans, this will dismantle that plan. So when the president said if you like the health insurance plan that you have now, you can keep it, that's absolutely false," McCain says.
McCain says he plans to work hard to keep the bill from passing. The bill has been endorsed by AARP.
