The family of a woman who burned to death in the back of a DPS patrol car is seeking $8 million from the state.
Officers pulled Faith Mascolino over on suspicion of DUI last June. She was placed in the back of a patrol car on Interstate 10.
DPS says a driver traveling at over 100 miles-an-hour hit the cruiser. It exploded and killed Mascolino.
Her family claims negligence against the state.
