After searching the area by air, agents were able to locate the truck, which had been concealed near a cattle tank.
Inside they found 76 bundles of marijuana, weighing approximately 1,600 pounds. Agents estimate the street value of the pot to be worth more than $1 million dollars.
The vehicle was reported stolen and turned over to the Pima County Sheriff's Office.
So far this fiscal year, Border Patrol agents in the Ajo area have seized more than 1.2 million pounds of marijuana, with an estimated street value of more than $961 million.
They say that's a record for the most seizures by any Border Patrol Sector.
