SCOTTSDALE - A young Scottsdale baker has become famous overnight, after winning a cupcake bake-off on the Food Network.

But these aren't your average guilt-inducing and fattening cupcakes -- they are actually good for you, gluten-free and allergy-free.

Lisa Cowden works at GFC in Scottsdale. Cowden won last week's Cupcake Wars on the Food Network.

"They're very natural, very good for you and I think that's one of the things that really came across with the judging. Our competitors are really tending to go less natural, a lot of artificial ingredients, and I think it counted against them in the end."

GFC Bakery and Good Food Cafe is located at 76th St and McDowell.

"We make tarts, pies, cheesecakes, bread, bagels, donuts, basically anything you can imagine. we do it gluten free for people with celiac disease."

One in 133 people have celiac disease, where you get sick if you eat flour.

"People call up and say, thank god I found you, you make my life so much better... most bakeries can't say that about what they do. Absolutely no one can tell that they are gluten free or maybe even dairy free or casein free or vegan. We service all the top 8 food allergens so everyone still loves them."
