Need for Speed Lands Serial Speeder in Jail

A valley man with a need for speed is now facing criminal charges after being caught by photo radar cameras 55 times.

On Thursday, Department of Public Safety Officers arrested Elvis Amir Saloum at a shopping center near his home.

The 29-year-old real estate agent faces 11 criminal speeding violations, 55 civil violations and one count of reckless driving.

Saloum has been caught multiple times by Photo Enforcement cameras on State Route 51, I-17, the Loop 101, and I-10 driving his Lexus at speeds ranging from 86 miles per hour to 104 miles per hour.

On 55 separate occasions, Saloum has been caught on photo enforcement cameras violating the posted speed limit.
