A 15-year-old boy was killed Tuesday night after he was apparently pushed into traffic and hit by three cars. Two of the vehicles failed to stop or stay at the scene.
Witnesses told police that two black males, between the ages of 14 and 18, wearing dark clothing, were chasing Francisco Elias and may have pushed him into the street.
"He ran into the street, and witnesses tell us that he may have been pushed in front of the vehicles that were traveling northbound on 35th Ave," said Lt. David Laslavic.
Francisco's family is now planning his funeral, just days after celebrating his 15th birthday.
Francisco's father Martin Nino says three boys had picked a fight with his son while he was walking home, and Francisco tried to fight back.

Francisco's cousin Antonia says Francisco called a family member worried. "He told him that some guys were following him, that he needs help."
Family members are trying to figure out why he would have been followed in the first place. "Maybe they thought he had money or something because he was all the time wearing nice shoes, nice clothes."
Police are looking for both the drivers who hit the boy, and the teens who were chasing him.
