Glendale Police have arrested four people who they say are responsible for a string of recent purse-snatchings in Glendale and Phoenix.
Police say that from Sept. to Oct. 2009, the group of suspects grabbed purses from women in parking lots and at bus stops. The thefts involved purses in shopping carts, as well as one taken directly off a woman's shoulder.
Working with members of the Phoenix Police Department, Glendale Police established probable cause to search several locations in Phoenix. Many items of stolen property were recovered.
Charles Johnson, 25, Nacosha Purvis, 20, Ryan Lafond, 18, and Kunashawn Fairchild, 23, all residents of Phoenix, admitted to their involvement in four incidents in Glendale.
