A judge has pushed back the arraignment for the parents of the 8-year-old Liberian girl who was allegedly gang-raped this summer by four boys.
The couple will be arraigned on Thursday.
Hemis Dio, 59 and wife Wedeh Dio, 47 have each been charged with eight counts of child abuse for a series of abuse and neglect incidents dating back to 2005.
During the investigation, detectives learned that Phoenix Police, Glendale Police and Child Protective Services had been called to the victim's home on numerous occasions dating back to 2005. On two separate occasions, police say child neglect reports were filed against Dio and his wife.
Not only do they face years in prison -- they could be deported back to Liberia.
The couple has four other children.
Four boys between the ages of 10 and 14 are accused of raping the 8-year-old girl in a vacant tool shed near her Phoenix home. The oldest, Steven Tuopeh, is being charged as an adult.
