Maricopa County Inmates Get Cheap Dinner

    PHOENIX - Maricopa County Jail inmates will dine on a Thanksgiving Day meal that costs about 18 cents a plate.

    The sheriff's office said about 9,000 incarcerated inmates will eat a meal that's similar to what many of us will be dining on.

    Inmates will receive turkey, potatoes, greens beans, bread, cranberries and a pumpkin spice cookie.

    A majority of the food was donated to the sheriffs office.
