The city of Phoenix is prepared to cut programs and jobs to balance the budget and that means parks could close.

At Wednesday night's budget cut hearing, people voiced their concerns about the food tax, the possibility of cutting police and fire jobs and the closing of parks across the city.

One of those parks, the "horse lovers park" - is used by hundreds of people every week and the people who use it aren't happy.  They're willing to pay out of their own pockets to keep the park open.

FOX 10's Diane Ryan reports.

Another meeting will be held at the Devonshire Senior Center near 28th Street and Indian School on Thursday, Feb. 11 at 10:00am.
