Who would steal from a charity? That's what United Cerebral Palsy wants to know.

Thieves hit the parking lot outside United Cerebral Palsy of Central Arizona overnight. They took tires and rims from vans, leaving them on blocks. The vans are used to transport pole with disabilities.

"They were very well prepared, they actually brought blocks with them," says Dan Rossi. "We realize times are tough and people are going desperate things, but to prey upon a charity, it's a sad situation these days."

UCPCA is a non-profit organization in north Phoenix. They teach, treat, and train adults and children with disabilities.

Buck Wagner is the father of a child with cerebral palsy. His child goes to school there. "As a parent it hurts me to see people stoop so low to steal from kids," he says.

Sixteen tires were taken in the last week. The cost to replace them is around $8,000 -- money that should be used to help the disabled.

The organization does have cameras in the parking lot aimed at the vans, but one of the thieves knocked it out of focus.
