BULLHEAD CITY, Ariz. - The ditch along SR-68 in Bullhead City looks like a trash heap Sunday after a semi carrying Ocean Spray cranberry juice topples over.

The Bullhead City Fire Department says that around 7:45 a.m. Sunday, a semi tractor trailer lost control and overturned. Its entire load of Oceanspray cranberry juice, a $175,000 loss, broke out and spilled.

Local police said it was the sixth time an accident has involved semis in the vicinity of Highway 68 near the Bullhead City-Laughlin Bridge over the Colorado River.

The truck, driven by 67-year-old Gerardo Lopez of South Pasadena, Calif., ended up in a gully near Davis Camp.

A second passenger, identified as 68-year-old Alicia Haby, was injured in the crash.

Lopez told police his brakes failed and he was unable to use either of the two runaway truck ramps because other vehicles were in the way.

A Bullhead City police traffic officer said charges are pending.
