SURPRISE - Police say a 63-year-old Surprise woman missing since Wednesday has been found dead.
Leslie Widynowski's vehicle was discovered Sunday about 8 miles from her home on a remote side road near the U.S. 60 and Jomax Road north of Surprise.
It is unclear how Widynowski died. Officials say there was no evidence of trauma or foul play.
Widynowski was last seen at her Surprise home around 9:45 a.m. Wednesday morning.
Surprise police Sgt. Mark Ortega said Widynowski is from Canada and has few acquaintances in Arizona.
Police say until the Medical Examiner comes back with an exact cause of death it will be hard to determine what happened to her. They say it is typical to investigate a death as a homicide until they can rule out homicide.
