1 Dead in Head-On Collision in Apache Junction

APACHE JUNCTION - According to Apache Junction Police, at least one person is dead after a head-on collision.

It happened about 5 p.m. near Baseline and Ironwood in Apache Junction.

An elderly woman, the driver of the first car, has died.

Three occupants of the second car suffered life-threatening injuries. One male and 2 females, all 18 years old, were taken to the Maricopa Medical Center.

The identities of the victims are not yet available.
