Fire Leaves Glendale Home a Charred Mess

GLENDALE - A Glendale couple and their 5-year-old granddaughter escaped a fire in their home early Thursday near 75th Avenue and Bethany Home Road.
The garage was burning when firefighters arrived.
No injuries were reported, but the family's pet chihuahua was killed.
The cause of the fire is under investigation and there was a working smoke alarm in the home.
