Here in Arizona, the first winter-like blast of the season is bearing down on Flagstaff. Meanwhile, a cold snap descended on the valley, with low temps in the 50s.
Flurries were falling on Tuesday, while the valley dealt with wind .
National Weather Service forecasters predict rain, snow and cold temperatures for Arizona's higher elevations. Snow showers are expected to last until Thursday. Record cold daytime temperatures are possible in many locations Wednesday and Thursday.
