PRESCOTT VALLEY - Prescott Valley Police have arrested a suspect accused of stealing a Massachusetts woman's identity and making purchases in her name at dozens of stores valley-wide.
Police say Dolores Jean Rakow was taken into custody on Friday after the media aired surveillance photos from the series of credit card fraud.
Rakow was wanted for forgery, theft of credit card, fraudulent use of credit card, and identity theft.
In Sept., a victim from Norwell, Mass., realized that someone had opened a previously closed Visa credit account. The suspect's listed address was Gilbert, Ariz., and it was found that over 47 fraudulent charges had been made in Gilbert, Mesa, Tempe, Apache Junction, Prescott Valley, and Mayer, Ariz. in June.
