A 20-year-old inmate who escaped from the Arizona State Prison in Florence was captured Monday afternoon in a field near a chili farm.
Yelson J. Moreno, 20, was serving a theft sentence when he escaped Sunday after apparently cutting a hole in the perimeter fence.
Two corrections officers, a Pinal County Sheriff's deputy, and a K-9 tracked Yelson to a Casa Grande chili farm.
Moreno was tackled, taken into custody, and is being sent to a maximum security unit at ASPC-Eyman.
Moreno, a Mexican national, was admitted into prison under minimum security in June to serve a 30-month sentence for theft.
