Ex-Surprise Teacher Sentenced in Child Porn Possession

A federal judge has sentenced a former Surprise charter school teacher to eight years in prison and lifetime probation for receipt of child pornography.

U.S. District Judge Paul Rosenblatt on Monday sentenced 38-year-old Victor Scott McPeak to serve this latest sentence consecutively to a 10-year sentence for sexual exploitation of a minor that he already is serving.

McPeak, a former fifth grade teacher, pleaded guilty in April to the latest charge.

Investigators found numerous images and videos of child pornography in his home.

Surprise police began investigating McPeak after he was accused of inappropriately touching two girls while he was working at the Arizona Charter Academy in March 2008.
