TEMPE - Chyendall Gibson's son DaRon was shot to death outside of a bar in Tempe. Two years later, she still has not given up hope there's someone who saw what happened to him. No one was ever arrested and police don't have any leads in the case.
Sunday night at 6:30 p.m., she held a prayer vigil in memory of her son at the South Phoenix Baptist Church.
The 19-year-old was shot July 8, 2007 after leaving a bar with 10 other people. He had attended a concert at the Clubhouse Bar. Police say there was first an altercation inside, and mulitple shots were fired into the crowd leaving the club. Gibson was fatally shot; no one else was hurt.
She wants justice to be done in the death of her son, and that somebody who saw what happened will go to police.
"Now that its been two years, perhaps enough time has lapsed, where people have matured, had their own children, gained a little more wisdom, or perhaps people just understand now that if you're not part of the solution, you are the problem," said Chyendall Gibson.
At the vigil, Gibson passed out cards with her son's picture and the phone number for Silent Witness.
