PHOENIX - At the Arizona State Capitol Friday, supporters of SB 1070 held a memorial for police officers and civilians who were killed by illegal immigrants.
"It's costing us dollars in a time of economic recession that is not improving..the least we can do is secure our borders..when the bathtub overflows, turn off the faucet." said one man attending the service.
State Senator Russell Pearce and other leaders were there. Supporters of the bill prayed for the victims who were slain by illegal aliens.
The service was lead by a minister, a choir singing hymns, bag pipers and a 21 gun salute for all fallen military and law enforcement officers.
