PHOENIX - Becoming a United States citizen is a dream for many people. Saturday, some of them got some help reaching that dream.
Arizona congressman Ed Pastor joined other community volunteers at Udall Elementary School to help hundreds of legal residents become U.S. citizens.
They helped them complete their citizenship applications, which can be an overwhelming process.
"It's always looked like an overwhelming task, knowing all the precedence and all of that, so every year I just put it off. But I don't think I should put it off any longer," says legal resident Jytte Hanson.
Participants left the Saturday workshop with completed citizenship applications.
