SCOTTSDALE - The Scottsdale man's death was originally thought to be an accident, but now police have arrested ex-girlfriend 26-year-old Morgan Leigh Adams.
44-year-old Dale Webber's landscaper found him dead in his hot tub on May 14. He had been dead for 3 days, and his body was not in good condition. At first authorities thought it was a drowning, but later found that foul play was likely.
The medical examiner's office later determined that Webber had died from a single gunshot wound to the chest. The investigation later linked the murder to a robbery that took place at his Scottsdale home, and that his ex-girlfriend Morgan Adams was involved.
Adams was arrested Thursday and booked on first degree murder, conspiracy and robbery charges. Adams and Webber dated for 3 years.
She's currently in the 4th Ave Jail on a $1 million bond.
The investigation is ongoing. More suspects could be involved.
