Tempe Police Net 86 in Underage Drinking Bust

TEMPE - Tempe and ASU Police are cracking down on underage drinking and liquor violations as part of their Spring Crimes Operation.

They conducted liquor enforcement operations at 10 apartment complexes where police frequently respond to calls.

Police deployed uniformed and plainclothes officers at each of the 10 complexes on April 16, 23, and 24.

The three nights of enforcement resulted in 85 minors in possession of alcohol being arrested. In addition, one person over 21 was arrested for allowing minors to congregate to consume alcohol.

The violations were found at four of the 10 targeted location: The Vue on Apache at 922 E Apache Blvd, Gateway at Tempe at 1595 E University Dr, Gateway at Tempe at 1655 E University Dr, and Vista del Sol at 701 E Apache Blvd.

In addition to the 86 drinking-related arrests, 9 other arrests were made for other offenses and 12 warrants were cleared.
