FOUNTAIN HILLS - Windows shattered, cars dented... For the past year and a half, vandals have struck vehicles belonging to people living in Fountain Hills.

At least 80 parked cars have been hit by some type of pellet gun.

Joe Bonfante's rear window was hit last month, and it was a $200 expense he didn't plan on.

"Oh it just shattered’ didn't break but it was like a whole bunch of little cracks. You know how glass does when it shatters," he says.

The vandals strike at night. The cases appear random, but Bonfante says three of his cars have been vandalized.

"Well at first you know, you're angry -- and you're helpless -- cause you can't really do anything about it, you don't know who did it you don't know why they did it."

The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office is investigating. No one has been caught. Anyone with information is asked to call authorities.
