Glendale Man Allegedly Slays Wife, Daughter

GLENDALE - A woman and her 10-year-old daughter are dead after a domestic stabbing Saturday morning at their Glendale home.

Police say 29-year-old Michael Miller fatally stabbed his wife, 28-year-old Adreana, their 10-year-old daughter, and their 4-year-old son around 5 a.m. Saturday in a home in the 7700 block of W. Vermont.

Both of the female victims are dead, and the 4-year-old boy is in critical condition at a Glendale-area hospital.

Miller apparently called 911 saying, "I just killed my family." Police say that after he made the call, he waited outside for police to arrive and went calmly.

Rita Leija lives nearby, and says that the 10-year-old girl went to Coyote Ridge Elementary. "She played with my grandsons, and she was always just the friendliest little girl... Him and his wife would get into it, but I never thought he would kill his own kids. That's a monster for you right there."

Sgt. Jim Cunningham of the Glendale Police Department says they're still trying to figure out what happened.

Miller is expected to be charged with 2 counts of first degree murder and 1 count of attempted murder.
