1 Dead in Wrong-Way Drunk-Driving Crash

EL MIRAGE - A 32-year-old Phoenix man is under arrest in connection to a fatal drunk driving accident.

El Mirage Police say that about 3 a.m. Saturday, Javier Octavio Dominguez-Parra was driving a Chevy pickup on U.S. 60 when he went the wrong way into oncoming traffic.

Then, police say Dominguez-Parra hit another vehicle head-on, killing one of its passengers.

An El Mirage Police officer nearby reported seeing Dominguez-Parra in the driver's seat, and that he had a strong odor of alcohol.

A blood test found that Dominguez-Parra's blood alcohol level was 0.101.

According to an Arizona driver's license check, Dominguez-Parra had about 30 driving suspensions.

In the opposite vehicle, one person died and two sustained minor injuries.

Bond is set at $500,000.
