CASA GRANDE - Authorities in Pinal County are searching for a man accused of sexually abusing a 16-year-old girl in Casa Grande. The victim told deputies her neighbor broke into her home and she awakened to find him on top of her.

It happened back in January. After the victim reported the sexual abuse to the Pinal County Sheriff's Office, the suspect, 25-year-old Alfredo Torres, contacted the victim's family and allegedly threatened to call ICE and have them deported if they file charges.

But despite the threat, she didn't back down. Sheriff Paul Babeu is praising the victim's courage to come forward.

"Our hearts go out to the victim and her family, and we want to let her know and let everybody else know if any crime is committed we want you to call law enforcement and we respond with the same urgency and dispatch as we would with anybody regardless of your standing," he says.

Authorities say Torres broken into the victim's home, and she woke up to him sexually abusing her. She pleaded for him to get off of her.

"I told Alfredo to get away from me and if he doesn't get away from me I'm going to call the cops so he started touching me inside my shirt and he started pulling off my pants and so I pulled them back on," the victim told FOX 10.

She yelled for help and when her mother came in, Torres fled.

Torres is currently on probation for aggravated assault related to a prior case of sexual assault and sexual conduct with a minor. He violated the terms of his probation when he was caught smoking marijuana and has a past history of resisting arrest.

"My deputies have risked their lives to save both U.S. and non U.S. citizens alike. We are more then enforcers of the law, we are rescuers and protectors of every person. We will continue to always seek justice for all victims of crimes," said Sheriff Babeu.

He is considered armed and dangerous.  Anyone with information on Torres or his whereabouts is asked to call 911.
