AVONDALE - Avondale Police have arrested a substitute teacher accused of molesting a 13-year-old girl.
According to court paperwork, David Leslie, 51, molested the girl on approximately eight occasions. He also allegedly forced her to touch him. Police say the victim was a family member, who told her guidance counselor at school.
During an interview with police, Leslie allegedly admitted to touching the girl inappropriately on two occasions, apparently saying he did it to "teach her about sex offenders and sex abuse."
Police say Leslie worked as a substitute teacher in the Avondale School District, and teaching mostly in elementary schools.
Police haven't said if they are looking for more victims.
Leslie is being held without bond. He's been charged with three counts of sexual abuse and two counts of molestation of a child.
