CAMP VERDE, Ariz. - Not only was she drunk, but a woman who was traveling 100 miles per hour on a suspended license in a construction zone, has been taken off the streets.

Friday about 6:30 a.m., Yavapai County Sheriff's deputies chased a white car on Hwy 260 that was observed moving about 100 mph. Deputies say the car then continued west into a construction zone, passing vehicles on the wrong side of the roadway in a no passing zone.

While coming to a stop, the white car nearly hit a stopped vehicle near the Camp Verde Jail.

The driver was identified as 25-year-old Linda Majenty, from Fredonia, Ariz. Officers say Majenty smelled of alcohol and couldn't stand without help. She would occasionally fall asleep.

Officers also found out that Majenty's license was suspended in 2007 for an aggravated DUI.

Her BAC was calculated at 0.235. She was taken to Camp Verde Jail and booked on aggravated DUI, 7 counts of endangerment, extreme DUI, driving on a suspended license, criminal speeding and open container in a vehicle.

Several citizens had called 911 to report the speeding and erratic driver, including a YCSO detention officer on his way to work who was almost hit.
