PHOENIX - Three women have been arrested at the San Luis port of entry in southwestern Arizona on separate drug smuggling charges.

Customs and Border Protection officers found more than 15 pounds of methamphetamine in the front bumper of a vehicle driven by a 25-year-old woman who tried to apply for entry into the U.S.

On Monday, a woman was caught with about 49 pounds of marijuana in the gas tank area of her car after a customs officer noticed discrepancies in the vehicle.

And on Sunday, another woman was caught with 120 pounds of marijuana hidden in four compartments in the back seat of her vehicle.

All three women were turned over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
