PHOENIX - Immigration and border security are a hot topic in Arizona.

Arizona's border with Mexico is 370 miles of rugged desert that's very hard to patrol. But there are some new technological tools that can help secure the border on display at the Phoenix Convention Center.

Government agencies and companies are there to check out everything from meals on-the-go, to an SUv loaded with a machine gun, to a radar that can pick up movement 12 kilometers away.

Attendance has doubled in recent years and business is booming. Convention organizer Norman Hannah says, "Terrorism is the main reason. Terrorism is what people are trying to protect against these days."
