Sun City Water Rates Could Increase by 130 Percent

Nobody likes to see their bills go up, but in Sun City, folks could be paying more than double for water!

A judge and the Arizona Corporation Commission are deciding on whether the Arizona American Water Company can consolidate rates for eight residential districts.  That includes Sun City and Anthem.

If the deal goes through, the water bill for Anthem residents would be cut in half, but rates would go up by 130 percent in Sun City!  That's not a typo.  130 percent is correct.

Right now, Sun City has the lowest water rates in Arizona.
