PHOENIX - Jobless and looking for work, support or contacts? You can find it Saturday at an event called "Laid Off Camp."

Susan Baier knows what it was like to lose a job. After being laid off, she looked for work, but it wasn't easy.

"You are sort of left behind in the community you have come to know and rely on. You have to find a new community," she says.

Baier says Laid Off Camp helped her. It's not a job fair, it's more like a national movement to help people reconnect.

"It is more of a community of people who want to provide resources and support for these folks," she says.

Volunteer experts help people write resumes, have a successful interview, and use new technology like Village.

"We are hoping to show the people who come to the camp how they can log in and use the software for their day-to-day networking," says Brandon Wiley, CEO of Redpear.

The software is like a digital rolodex. It helps you organize your contacts and your web accounts, and aims to make the job hunt much easier.
