(MYFOX NATIONAL) - On the day after Michael Jackson's death, the pop singer's music was the most downloaded on iTunes and most purchased on Amazon. But reports indicate there may be some secret songs that could be released soon.
The Times reports that Jackson biographer Ian Halperin said the unheard collection of 100 songs was made for his children.
"He wants to leave them for his kids, a very personal legacy to them," he said. "I was told he will not let them come out now."
But the songs may not be kept under wraps for long because of Jackson's debt. The Associated Press reports that Jackson owes as much as $400 million after dealing with more than a decade of scandals.
Another library of songs that could be released is the Beatles' back catalog. Spinner is reporting that in his will, Jackson said he would give Paul McCartney the Beatles catalog back after Jackson outbid him and Yoko Ono in 1985 for the rights to them. The situation strained Jackson's friendship with McCartney, who had collaborated with him on songs like "Say, Say, Say" and "The Girl is Mine."
The Daily Mirror quotes a Jackson insider as saying, "Michael told his lawyers he was sad he no longer talks to Sir Paul and said he wanted to make things right."
