Giancarlo Stanton drove in all three Miami runs with a pair of homers. Stanton's line-drive home run to right off Heath Bell in the ninth put Miami ahead for the first time. Paul Goldschmidt drove in both Arizona runs with a homer and a single. Mike Dunn threw a scoreless eighth inning to get the win.
PHOENIX (AP) - Last night's Arizona Diamondbacks game marked the start of Ian Kennedy's 10-game suspension. Kennedy got the most severe of the six suspensions stemming from the June 11 brawl between the Diamondbacks and Dodgers in Los Angeles. He was suspended after hitting Yasiem Puig and Zack Greinke with high inside pitches, the latter one triggering the melee.
