PHOENIX (AP) - Zach Randolph scored 32 points and the Memphis Grizzlies clinched the final playoff berth in the Western Conference with a 97-91 victory over Phoenix that eliminated the Suns from postseason contention. Markieff Morris had 21 points, and Channing Frye and Dragic 14 apiece for Phoenix.

PHOENIX (AP) - Lucas Duda had four hits and two RBIs, Zack Wheeler pitched effectively into the seventh inning and the New York Mets beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 7-3 last night. Miguel Montero had three RBIs for the Diamondbacks, who lost their sixth straight at Chase Field after Josh Collmenter (0-1) gave up three runs the first three innings.

PHOENIX (AP) - The Arizona Diamondbacks have optioned right-hander Will Harris to Triple-A Reno and selected the contract of right-hander Mike Bolsinger. Arizona also transferred right-handed reliever David Hernandez, who has a torn elbow ligament, to the 60-day disabled list. Bolsinger will be making his first appearance in the majors and is slated to start Saturday at Los Angeles.

GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) - The Phoenix Coyotes went into their first season with new owners with plenty of expectations. They ended it in the same place they were last season: Out of the playoffs. Phoenix had a chance to earn the final Western Conference playoff spot, but lost seven of its final eight games to finish two points behind eighth-place Dallas. Now the Coyotes must decide what to do during the offseason, whether to give younger players more of a chance or change the core of the team.
